The Philanthropy in Health Award was presented to Selcy Foundation in acknowledgement of its outstanding contributions to promoting health and well-being across communities. The Foundation has made significant strides in advancing maternal care, menstrual hygiene education, and preventive health for the aged through projects designed to empower women, support the elderly, and encourage healthy living practices. Its impact-oriented approach has helped address critical health challenges in underserved areas whilst fostering awareness and equity in healthcare access.

Following the presentation of the awards, Ms Selassie Datsomon Doughan, Founder of Selcy Foundation, expressed her profound appreciation and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to sustainable community development. She began by introducing herself, the Foundation, and the various projects it has undertaken to improve lives across communities. Ms Selassie extended heartfelt gratitude to God for His guidance and favour, and to the Ghana Philanthropy Forum for not only organising the event but also recognising Selcy Foundation’s consistent efforts to create positive social impact. She highlighted the Foundation’s belief in compassion-driven service and collaboration as vital tools for driving meaningful change.
